سخن درشت/ تند






I ran into a stranger as he passed by,


بامردی كه در حا ل عبور بود برخورد كردم



"Oh excuse me please" was my reply.


اوو!! معذرت میخوام



He said, "Please excuse me too;


من هم معذرت میخوام



I wasn't watching for you."


دقت نكردم



We were very polite, this stranger and I.


ما خیلی مؤدب بودیم ، من واین غریبه



We went on our way saying good-bye.


خداحافظی كردیم وبه راهمان ادامه دادیم



But at home a difference is told,


اما در خانه چیزی متفا وت گفته میشه



how we treat our lovedones, young and old


با آنهایی كه دوست داریم چطور رفتار میكنیم


Later that day, cooking the evening meal,


كمی بعد آنروز، در حال پختن شام



My son stood beside me very still.


پسرم خیلی آرام كنارم ایستا د



As I turned, I nearly knocked him down.


همینكه برگشتم به اوخوردم وتقریبا" انداختمش



"Move out of the way," I said with a frown .


" اه !! ازسرراه برو كنار"


بااخم گفتم


He walked away, his little heart broken.


قلب كوچكش شكست ورفت



I didn't realize how harshly I'd spoken.


نفهمیدم كه چقدر تند حرف زدم



While I lay awake in bed,


وقتی توی تختم بیدار بودم

صدای آرام خدا در درونم گفت



"While dealing with a stranger, common courtesy you use,


وقتی با یك غریبه برخورد میكنی ، آداب معمول را رعایت میكنی


But the children you love, you seem to abuse.


اما با بچه ای كه دوست داری بد رفتار میكنی


Go and look on the kitchen floor,


برو به كف آشپزخانه نگاه كن



You'll find some flowers there by the door.


آنجا نزدیك در چند گل پیدا میكنی


Those are the flowers he brought for you.


آنها گلهایی هستند كه او برایت آورده است



He picked them himself: pink, yellow and blue .


خودش آنها را چیده: صورتی و زرد و آبی



He stood very quietly not to spoil the surprise,


آرام ایستاده بود كه سورپریزت بكنه



and you never saw the tears that filled his little eyes."

By this time, I felt very small,

He smiled, "I found 'em, out by the tree.


او خندید— اونارو كنار درخت پیدا كردم



I picked 'em because they're pretty like you.


ورشون داشتم چون مثل تو خوشگلن



I knew you'd like 'em, especially the blue ."


میدونستم دوستشون داری ، مخصوصا" آبیه رو


I said, "Son, I'm very sorry for the way I acted today;


گفتم پسرم واقعا" متاسفم ازرفتاری كه امروز داشتم



I shouldn't have yelled at you that way ."


نمیبایست اونطور سرت داد بكشم



He said, "Oh, Mom, that's okay. I love you anyway."


گفت :اشكالی نداره من به هر حال دوستت دارم مامان



I said, "Son, I love you too,


گفتم :من هم دوستت دارم پسرم


and I do like the flowers, especially the blue."


و گلهارو هم دوست دارم ، مخصوصا" آبیه رو


Are you aware that if we died tomorrow, the company that we are working for would easily replace us in a matter of days.


But the family we left behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives.




And come to think of it, we pour ourselves more into work than to our own family an unwise investment indeed, don't you think?


So what is behind the story?


What does the word FAMILY mean to us?


آیا میدانید كه اگر فردا بمیرید شركتی كه در آن كار میكنید به آسانی در ظرف یك روز برای شما جانشینی می آورد.اما خانواده ای كه به جا میگذارید تا آخر عمر احساس فقدان شما را خواهد كرد.




و به این فكر كنید كه ما خود را وقف كا رمیكنیم ونه خانواده مان .چه سرمایه گذاری نا عاقلانه ای !! اینطور فكر نمیكنید؟!!پشت این داستان چه پندی نهفته است. كلمه " خانواده " یعنی چه ؟؟
