نرم افزار Skype یکی از مشهور ترین نرم افزار های تلفن اینترنتی است که در جهان طرفداران زیادی را به خود جلب کرده است. برای استفاده از نرم افزار کافی است نرم افزار را دانلود کنید و آن را نصب کنید سپس در سایت Skype عضو شوید و مانند یاهو مسنجر وارد نرم افزار شوید. تجهیزاتی که برای استفاده از نرم افزار Skype لازم است یک رایانه معمولی و هدست است. علاوه بر این نرم افزار Skype یک نرم افزار گفتگو (چت) عالی است. لازم به ذکر است که در هر نقطه ای که در جهان باشید تماس تلفنی به کشور آمریکا رایگان است و برای بقیه کشورها باید اکانت Skype خریداری شود ( شاید در آینده طرح جدیدی از طرف شرکت Skype برای استفاده مجانی از تلفن رایگان به کل کشور ها ارائه شود).
